Rosa Ramirez
Rosa Ramirez came to Camden from Vieques, Puerto Rico in 1952 with her parents and two younger sisters. She at times wonders if she realized Camden would be where she spends the rest of her life impacting the lives of so many others along the way.
Rosa has been married for fourty-three years to Robero Ramirez. She is a mother and grandmother and has been very dedicated to her family that supports her in the work she does for the City of Camden.
Rosa spends most of her time working for the people of Camden by serving as a member of CCOP. Rosa served as CCOP Chairwoman for eight years. She is a strong believer of social justice. Her goal is to empower the people to take control of their lives and to hold political officials accountable for their actions. She is an active member of St. Joseph's Pro-Cathedral Church and has served for more than 20 years in many ways inside the parish and its ministires.

- 2002 Community Member on the Economic Recovery Board (appointed by the Governor of NJ)
