Rev. Heyward Wiggins of Camden Churches Organized for People represented PICO National Network at a press conference announcing the introduction of new legislation to provide affordable health coverage to all children in the United States. Rev. Wiggins spoke along with a representative from the March of Dimes and Senator Hillary Clinton and Congressman John Dingell, who chairs the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which is responsible for children's health policy. Congressman Dingell and Senator Clinton introduced the Road Map to Covering All Children by 2012.

Reverend Heyward Wiggins, leader in the PICO National Network and pastor in Camden, New Jersey, joined with Dingell and Clinton in calling for expanded healthcare coverage for children. "For the faith community that PICO represents covering all children is a simple moral requirement that no politician can ignore," said Wiggins.
