May 1st and 2nd Prayer Rally for Just Immigration reform in the country

Camden, NJ - Saturday May 1st, joining thousands of faith communities around the nation, the Diocese of Camden has partnered with 6 CCOP congregations for a Weekend of Prayer for Immigrants from May 1st - 2nd, to urge our public leaders to do what is right and just for the immigrant communities. Those gathered will urge the US Congress and Senate for fair and just immigration policy that respects the core values including human life, human dignity, family unity, and humane enforcement policies. Bishop Galante and the Camden Diocese will urge all its churches the following day (May 2nd) to pray in particular for immigrants and for our political leaders to make the right decision.   

WHAT: Prayer Rally for Comprehensive Immigration Reform

WHERE: St. Joseph Pro-Cathedral, 2907 Federal Street, Camden, NJ 08105

WHO: Featured Guest and Speaker, Bishop Joseph A. Galante, Representing the Camden Diocese, also there will be 200+ faith and community leaders coming from 6 CCOP Faith communities (St. Anthony of Padua, St. Bartholomew, St. Joseph Pro-Cathedral, St. Joan of Arc, Hope Memorial Baptist Church, St. Andrew Episcopal Church), and community leaders.  


WHY: To lift up prayers for families suffering the effects of policies making the navigation of a path to citizenship confusing, dangerous, and scary. The current immigration system is broken and results in broken families, broken laws and broken human dignity. For information visit
