CCOP Organizing Academy

Tuesday, September 15th, at 6:30 pm

We will continue our monthly training series to study the principles and practices of faith-based community organizing with a lesson on public action. We will use the opportunity of the Economy of Inclusion Rally on September 20th as a live example of how to prepare for a public action in our organizing model.

Economy of Inclusion Rally

Sunday, September 20th, 2:00 - 4:00 pm at FERRY AVE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

CCOP is organizing an event on September 20th to lift up Camden voices that we have heard through our Sacred Stories efforts and show how they align with Pope Francis’ message of needing to create an Economy of InclusionCCOP lay leaders and clergy are working to make sure that economic policies support their families and serve the common good.  As a part of the event we will be educating residents and the faith community on the use of Community Benefit Agreements (CBAs), a tool for doing just that.  CBAs would allow residents to setup a public dialogue with the companies that are currently moving into the city of Camden and receiving millions of dollars worth of tax incentives. Share the flier! You can download the Spanish version too. Don't forget to RSVP here!
