Creating an Economy of Inclusion
Over the past year and a half Camden Churches Organized for People has lifted up the importance of Creating An Economy Of Inclusion. This means promoting laws and policies that will truly help to address unemployment and poverty here in the city of Camden.
CCOP will be hosting an Economy of Inclusion Rally on Sunday, September 20th, from 2 to 4 pm at Ferry Avenue United Methodist Church (768 Ferry Ave, Camden, NJ 08104) to connect Pope Francis’ message of making sure that economic policies are supporting families, with the work lay leaders and clergy are doing here in Camden to create an Economy Of Inclusion. As a part of the event we will be educating residents and the faith community on the use of Community Benefit Agreements (CBAs), as a tool to do just that. CBAs would allow residents to setup a public dialogue with the companies that are currently moving into the city of Camden to ensure that the state's investment is used to create a better quality of life for all who work and live in the city.
