7th Annual MLK Day of Community Organizing

Monday, January 18th, 9:00 am - 12:30 pm at St Anthony of Padua Church

The Student Leaders of Von Neida Park Task Force will host their annual event for 6th, 7th and 8th graders to honor King's legacy of community organizing. Invite your children, grandchildren, students and neighbors to learn how to organize, then participate in a Peace March in remembrance of a great faith leader.

Third Annual CCOP Community Organizing Academy Launch

Tuesday, January 19th, 6:30 - 8:30 pm at UU Church in Cherry Hill

CCOP holds a series of monthly trainings every third Tuesday, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm, at different member congregations. Throughout the year, we will explore readings, principles and practices at the core of effective community organizing. Those who attend 75% of the curriculum will graduate with a certificate from the CCOP Organizing Academy. The next series will begin in January.


CCOP Fundraiser: Super Bowl Raffle

Sunday, February 7th, 2016 

Try your chances at winning $200 by entering CCOP's Super Bowl Raffle. Tickets can be purchased at the CCOP office or by calling 856-966-8869. They are available for $1, or three tickets for $2. Three cash prizes will be awarded (First place prize is $200, second place prize is $100, and third place prize is $50). You do not need to be present to win.

Program Manager

LAEDA is looking for a full-time employee for the position of Women's Business Center (WBC) Program Manager in our Camden, NJ office. The position will be responsible for all aspects of operating the WBC in an assigned geographic territory. Duties include providing direct technical assistance services as well as planning, implementing and coordinating entrepreneurial trainings, workshops and seminars. Also building relationships with partners and clients in a multi-county area by providing assistance through identifying available resources. Travel is required. Salary is competitive, based on experience and applicable skills. The Assistant Director for Small Business Lending Markets will lead an inter-disciplinary team in researching and developing a landmark collection of data about loans to small, women-owned, and minority-owned businesses. This collection is intended to make the small business lending market fairer and more transparent. Candidates must have:

  • Significant leadership and management experience
  • Expertise in business lending or consumer lending
  • Experience leading qualitative research of complex public policy problems
  • Understanding of the financial needs and challenges of women-owned and minority-owned businesses
